Na kartici kandidata je pod definicijo virov za oglase tudi postavka "Vir kandidata". Ta postavka je neodvisna od konkretnih odzivov kandidata in hkrati je pomembno, da ni del poročanja. Lahko jo uporabite na primer v fazi pridobivanja kandidatov, ko za kandidate še nimate delovnih mest (torej obstaja samo kartica kandidata brez enega samega odziva na delovno mesto), ali pa je potrebno uporabiti določeno nadrejeno kategorijo vira.
