In Custom format candidate lists, you now have full control over how wide each column is. Just hover over a column separator in the table header and drag it to adjust the width exactly to your needs. Whether you need more room for longer notes, or want to narrow down less important data for a better overview, the new feature lets you do it in a few seconds. And because Recruitis remembers your settings, your customized view will be waiting for you next time too.
You'll find the feature in every candidate list view set to Custom format. Just open any such view and hover over a vertical separator between columns directly in the table header.
Once you hover over the separator between two columns, the cursor changes, and you can drag left or right to change the width of the column whose right edge the separator is. Every column has a defined minimum width it can't be narrowed below - this keeps the data always readable. If you want to quickly restore a column's recommended width, just double-click its right separator - the column automatically adjusts to the optimal size for its content. Adjusted column widths are saved automatically, so you'll find your customized view again the next time you log in.
The new feature is especially useful when you need to work with data of varying length. A typical example is longer notes on candidates - you can widen the notes column so you can see the main part of the text directly in the list, without having to open the candidate detail or the notes list. Conversely, you can narrow columns with short data, such as status or date, down to a minimum, freeing up space for what really matters to you.
