Exercises for complete beginners

This course is intended for complete beginners and its purpose is for you to practice the most basic functionalities of ATS Recruitis and learn how to use them. It contains individual exercises that focus on working with the functions and other possible settings that our ATS Recruitis enables and which are also essential for the recruitment process. If you go through these exercises and try them yourself, you will be ready for the more advanced functionalities of the system.

Before the actual exercise, it is ideal if you watch the ATS Recruitis basic overview video in this article.

 

1. Creation of a job position

  • Fill in the information so that it is publishable

2. Adding candidates

💡 You will practice several ways to add a candidate to a job position.

👍 You will have an overview of the options for how candidates can be inserted into the position.

Entry:

  • Choose one test position
  • Try putting candidates on it in the following ways:
    • Try putting candidates on it in the following ways:
    • Through the response form
    • Via the LinkedIn plugin
    • Manually directly in ATS Recruitis

3. Email templates

💡 You will practice how to create personalized email templates using variables.

👍 If you use the real type of email you use, you will create one template that you can then use in ATS Recruitis.

Entry:

  • Choose one type of action in ATS Recruitis and create an email template for it (e.g. rejection for a specific reason)
  • Take an existing email you're using and turn it into a template using variables
  • Try the template to send a bulk action to multiple candidates
  • In the sending dialog, verify that the template is working correctly

4. Recruitment flow

💡 You will practice how to create your own recruitment processes, or "recruitment flow".

👍 If you use your real process that you use, you will create a working template that you can then use in ATS Recruitis.

Entry:

  • Create your recruitment flow by editing the basic flow supplied with ATS Recruitis.
  • If your process differs significantly from the basic flow in ATS Recruitis, create a flow from scratch.
  • Try to specify SLAs for each step of your recruitment process as well.

5. Invitation to an interview

💡 You will practice in which ways it is possible to invite candidates for an interview.

👍 If you invite, for example, one of the candidates with your own email (e.g. private), you will check how the information goes to the candidates.

Entry:

  • Invite multiple candidates in bulk by moving to the "Interview" action status
  • Invite one candidate using quick scheduling with a fixed date and time

6. Reasons for rejection

💡You will practice how rejection reasons are created and what they are used for in practice.

👍 Using rejection reasons correctly and systematically will provide a great helper in recycling candidates and/or evaluating repeated responses from past candidates.

Entry:

  • Create a rejection reason
  • Go to a job where you reject at least 2 candidates with different reasons
  • Filter the rejected applicant in the applicant database

7. Recycling of candidates

💡 You will practice how candidates are recycled by copying and moving them to other job positions.

👍 You will be able to solve practical scenarios where a candidate has applied for a position other than what they are qualified for, or you have multiple positions where they could apply.

Entry:

  • Start at a position where you select candidates and then copy them to another job position.
  • On the candidate card, move the candidate from the currently listed position to another job position.
  • Please note that in the applicant database in the "candidates" section, you can only copy applicants to another position and cannot move them.
  • In the "candidates for positions" section, select applicants and move them to another position.

8. Setting filter items

💡 Learn how to easily set filter items.

👍 Filters for advertisements make it easier for you to search for a suitable position for a specific industry.

Entry:

  • First, add an item to an existing category, then create a new category of 2 items each.
  • Assign filter items to multiple positions.
  • In the position overview, try filtering the position according to the filter items.
  • Go to the applicant database to search for candidates according to a specific filter item.
