Adding a Map to Email Template

It is common to include a map in the information you send to candidates before an interview, showing where to find your company or the specific location where the interview will take place.

You often have a map saved as an image on your computer and are wondering how to insert it into a template, since images cannot be inserted directly into email templates, but are inserted using links (URL addresses). Below you will learn how to do it.

1. Getting a Map Link

An ideal tool for obtaining a map URL with a specific address is mapy.cz. The procedure is simple - enter your address and then have a link generated - see the image below:

2. Inserting a Link into Email Template

Insert the map link into the template using the link function in the toolbar above the email body. A string [url="Link URL"]Link Title[/url] will be inserted into the email body, in which you need to replace:

  • Link URL - replace with the link to the map
  • Link Title - replace with the text you want to display in the email text

An email sent from such a template will then contain a link to the map as you saw it on mapy.cz when obtaining the link.

💡 If you want to insert a map as a clickable image with a link, you can use the following BBCode syntax, which combines the element for a link and for an image:

[url=https://en.mapy.cz/s/lozomukebu][img]https://www.our-company.com/map.webp[/img][/url]
